25000 made in 1863-64 under contract to Norwich Arms Co. This example is dated 1863 and stamped on lock with Norwich and US eagle. Barrel breech has VP eagle head. Features full length walnut stock, three band, standard folding leaf rear sight, iron hardware, furniture finished in-the-white, and metal rod. CONDITION: Good. Untouched attic find, all homogenous patina with sharp legends. Stock typical dents with some chipping at upper tang. Working order with dark bore.
