This is a first year production dated 1884 on stock with "SWP" cartouche for Sam Porter. Block is dated 1884. Rear sight is the 1879 type. All other features are standard to include two bands, metal rod, full length walnut stock, and swivels. CONDITION: Fine. The barrel retains majority of blue that is blending with patina. Block colors have darkened. Stock is excellent with usual scattered dings. Butt plate is corroded. Bore is bright with very minor abrasion. Comes with a blued US bayonet, metal scabbard, and leather frog.
