Contract musket made in Millbury, Massachussets, by A. Waters in 1832 and so marked on lock with US stamp. Features iron hardware and furniture finished in-the-white, three band, bayonet lug on top of barrel, no rear sight, swivels, iron rod, and full length walnut stock. With bayonet. This gun was converted to percussion before the Civil War. Stock profile has been altered with added butt plate and looks period. CONDITION: Very good with note to stock. All metal is clean and shows oxidation. Legends are sharp. Stock is solid with visible cartouche on left side with "AH" and "US" proofs at breech. Action works correctly. Bore is dark.
