The first of the Mauser rifles adopted by Germany in 1871 to replace the Dreyse needle gun. This example is dated 1876. It remains in standard configuration with faded blue finished barrel, blade front sight, 2-leaf rear sight, and walnut stocks. Externally visible numbers match. CONDITION: Good. Very fine bore.
