This rifle has a thick walled smoothbore barrel with tapered rib on top. The lock is unmarked and has been converted to percussion with a wing nut on the drum to remove for cleaning. Brass furniture with cloud-type sideplate and convex silver wrist escutcheon. Cherry stock of 18th century form. CONDITION: Barrel retains a brown patina. Lock retains a brown patina and functions properly, but head of hammer screw is broken off. Brass retains a dark mustard patina. Stock has some damage and losses at muzzle and a small chip above front lock tang.
