This is a nice untouched example. Standard configuration with barrel stamped "SG" on left side of breech and with Tower view and proof marks in center near breech. Lock marked "TOWER" at tail and engraved with partially visible large crown over "GR". Standard Pattern 1777 brass furniture including serpentine flat sideplate. Walnut stock. CONDITION: Barrel markings very good, retains a dark brown patina. Lock partially cleaned to expose tail markings, nipple is deteriorated, does hold on full cock. Some corrosion on lock and at breech. Brass has a very dark patina. Wood is uncleaned and has scattered cracks, chips and marks from use. Ramrod is absent. A nice untouched musket.
