Octagonal barrel with a Germanic flat lockplate with flute at tail. Brass furniture includes an engraved two-piece patchbox, flat sideplate terminating with an arrow at the back, classic Northampton County triggerguard. There is an engraved silver eight-point star above the cheekpiece and an engraved silver inlaid Allentown Indian head or liberty head in front of the triggerguard. There is also a silver ovoid inlay on the bottom of the stock. The figured tiger maple stock features extensive relief carving on the left side of the buttstock, around the barrel tang, on both sides of the wrist and behind sideplate and lock. CONDITION: Barrel retains a grey patina with scattered dark heavy patina. Lock is a reconversion. Some wood replaced around lock as well as last 11" of forend behind muzzle. Otherwise showing some wear and marks from use as well as small scattered repairs.
