Two stage thick walled barrel. Flat Germanic lockplate with flute at tail. Brass furniture including an engraved four piece patchbox. The figured tiger maple stock is carved on the left side of the buttstock with classic masterfully engraved c-scrolls attributable to Frederick Sell. Brass noseband at muzzle. Relief carved scrolls behind barrel tang. CONDITION: Barrel retains a dark patina with some deep gouges from vice on left side, towards breech. Lock is a contemporary well aged replacement, barrel shows where drum was removed. Brass retains a pleasing mustard patina. Stock shows some wood replaced between lock and barrel tang, around barrel tang and below lockplate.
