Rifled octagon barrel inscribed "HJ" on top flat. Flat "JOSH GOLCHER" signed lockplate in original percussion and has double-set-triggers. The unique engraved brass furniture includes a four piece patchbox with the finial being two folk art birds looking in opposite directions. There is an engraved brass inlay on the cheekpiece and a silver inlay with an engraved folk art bird above the cheekpiece. Stock of Berks County form in plain maple. The toeplate is iron. CONDITION: Barrel retains a spotted brown patina, some pitting around drum, front sight has been moved. Lock retains a dark brown patina and functions well. Brass mostly bright and stock has been cleaned. Stock has a crack at the toe and scattered marks from use.
