Heavy, deeply rifled octagon barrel with swamped muzzle. Mounted on top with period full-length iron and brass adjustable sun shade mounted on top. Lock marked "TRYON / PHILADA" in center. Double-set triggers. Walnut stock with brass mounts and target trigger guard. CONDITION: Barrel retains much original brown finish, pitting around breech. Lock retains a brown patina with some pitting, lock functions well and is its original flintlock configuration. Stock shows some age cracks.
