This Golden Age rifle was shortened to carbine length during its period of use. Octagon barrel signed "N Beyer". Lock has a waterproof pan and frizzen face has been sleeved. Brass furniture including four-piece patchbox. Tiger maple stock with relief scrolls throughout. CONDITION: Shows a long history of heavy overall use and wear with numerous areas of damage, corrosion, and make-do repairs. A testament to how hard some of these rifles were used and how their purposes changed over long periods of time.
