This rifle is dated 1889 on left side of stock with "SWP" cartouche for Sam Porter. Case colored block is dated 1884. Barrel breech has eagle head VP proof with script P at wrist. Features full length walnut stock two band, Buffington rear sight, swivels, and metal rod. CONDITION: Excellent. Block retains 70% fading color. Barrel retains at least 80% blue but starting to this a bit. Butt plate still shows blue as does front barrel band. Stock has some average dings. Action is fine working order. Bore is bright.
