Standard factory conversion to .50-70. Block is dated 1866 with eagle head. US Springfield lock is dated 1864. Rear sight is 1863 Springfield type. Civil War era walnut stock with visible but illegible cartouche on left side, no P on wrist. Three barrel bands, metal rod and sling swivels. CONDITION: Very good. All metal is smooth patina. Stock is solid but does have numerous dings, scuffs, etc. Action works correctly. Bore is well defined with minor residue.
