Manufactured in 1942 at Oberndorf with "byf / 42" receiver code. Classic configuration with blued finish, hooded blade front sight, tangent rear, eagle over "H" Heer acceptance marked red glue laminate stocks, milled mounts, and cupped butt plate. Externally visible numbers matching. No visible import markings. Complete with period leather sling. CONDITION: Very fine. Rifle retains nearly all of its original arsenal finish with scattered handling marks and light wear. Stocks are likewise fine with some mild scattered marks and a coat of finish. Crisp, bright bore. Fine mechanics. A nice example of a mid-war K98.
