Full length rib with anti-glare matting and fit with a sling eye on underside, horizontally dovetailed bead front sight and combination express and ladder rear sight, with a single standing leaf, four folding leaves marked "2" through "5" , and with a ladder rear sight graduated to 1200 yards with sliding elevator; elevator and sights with silver express lines. Unmatted area at rear signed 'I. Hollis & Sons, Birmingham, England". Underside of barrel with Birmingham proofs, "9936" number, 52 bore designation, "JC" in a cartouche, and "ML", presumably a barrel maker; no chamber dimensions, a chamber cast will be required to determine exact caliber. Falling block action engraved with wide English scroll, dressed at the pins and with lined borders. Cocking indicator on right side. Stock with pistol grip, sling eye on toe line, silver vanity plate, and butt with trap, vacant. CONDITION: Good+. Mechanically fine, bore has soft frosting and strong rifling.
