It is universally excepted that the Shiloh Rifle Company builds what may be the finest Sharps rifles ever made. These early examples made in Farmingdale, New York are about as close to the originals that one can obtain. This No. 1 sporter features the blued full octagon barrel with a knife blade front sight, Lawrence type ladder rear sight. Barrel legends read " Old Reliable" with Shiloh Rifle Co. and caliber .50 3/4 ( .50-120). The case color receiver has the Farmingdale legend on left side. The hammer and lever are also case color. Features an oil finish pistol grip walnut stock with matching forearm sporting a Schnabel fore-end tip. The shotgun butt features a Sharps black butt plate. Rifle also features double set triggers (working). CONDITION: Excellent. Shows as near new with very light handling marks. Bore is bright.
