This early war gun is dated 8-42. The barrel is stamped RA with bomb and date. Receiver has the Remington legend. The left side of stock has the inspector cartouche RLP (Roy Bowlin) as well as the Ordnance wheel. The base of stock has the proof P in circle with various proof marks. The gun is an as issued 1903 that features the two bolt walnut stock with no finger grooves , matching sight groove handguard, all milled parts, parkerized finish and smooth butt plate with trap. Left side of stock has a stenciled A2 in white. CONDITION: Excellent. Metal retains approximately 85% metal finish with handling and high edge wear with note to trigger guard which is brown. The stock is solid showing scattered dings and impressions. Bore is bright.
