Manufactured in 1951. Finished in blue, the trigger and hammer are case hardened. Pinned barrel with a matted rib, ramped partridge front sight, and micrometer click rear. 5 screw K frame. Grips are diamond checkered walnut inset with silver S&W monogram medallions. Matching numbers observed on butt, cylinder, and inside the right grip. Matching assembly numbers also present on the frame and crane. Revolver is housed in a correct, unnumbered 2-piece gold box with tools. CONDITION: Excellent. Revolver retains virtually all of its factory blue excluding a turn line and and light handling marks. Grips are very fine, a tiny chip present on the left panel. Mirror bore showing little or no use. Crisp mechanics. Box has some high edge wear but displays well.
