Circa 2018 per BI date code. Mono-bloc barrels with a vent rib, fit with anti-glare matting and central serrations, with a Bradley style white front bead and steel mid bead.Barrels with typical factory legends on top barrel, Import marked on bottom barrel for CBSS and another more discreet import mark for Krieghoff. Proofs are for a nominal 18.6mm IBD in both barrels, 12 gauge, 76mm (3") Magnums. Gold washed chokes and fore barrel band; chokes currently installed are both Light Modified. Heavily marbled walnut forearm, slightly recessed for a finger groove, with Deely latch release engraved with rolling floral scroll with gold highlights on a blacked and stippled ground, with triskelion scroll reinforcements. Interior iron with matching serial number, with wings engraved en suite. Action is engraved with nearly full coverage of the same rolling thin floralwork with gold accents on a stippled and blacked ground, with only the transitional borders left blank. "K-80 / Krieghoff / Germany" in gold on bottom of action. Engraving is signed "B & B Bonsi Brothers" by trigger guard. The brothers are well known for their bespoke engraving and have engraved in numerous styles for many Best clients. Fixed safety as befits a live bird gun. Adjustable trigger with selector ahead of blade, with short tang trigger guard engraved en suite with balance of gun. Stock of a nicely marbled and streaked walnut, more heavily figured to rear, is devoid of checkering and built with sidepanels, a right handed palm swell, pistol grip, and adjustable cheekpiece. Kick-Eez soft recoil pad. Housed in a pebble textured case fit for gun when broken down and containing Krieghoff stock wrench and factory paperwork. CONDITION: Excellent, Retaining virtually all of the factory finishes. Barrels with some superficial handling marks from the field and course, some minor silvering towards muzzle. Stocks very good with scattered dings and impressions from use, but free from cracks or chips. Pad possibly replaced as fit is ever some slightly off. Mechanically fine, excepting selector which does not articulate, ejectors are slightly out of time with top firing first, bores are bright and smooth with some light striations ahead of firing cones. Case fine. Krieghoff shotguns are widely considered to be among the finest sporting guns produced, and this example has wonderful embellishment from a well-known Italian firm.
