Classic configuration manufactured in 1884. Standard proofed blued barrel with blade front sight and "R" marked rifle rear sight. Case hardened arch breech block marked "US / MODEL / 1873. 3-click tumbler. Stocked in oil finished walnut with a crisp Porter "SWP / 1884" inspector cartouche. Includes wiping rod and a period leather sling. CONDITION: Excellent, near new likely as unissued. Nearly all of the metal finishes are retained with only light marks and some fading. Case colors largely remain bright and clear. Stock likewise has only light, scattered marks. Fine, bright and crisp bore. Possibly unfired. Crisp mechanics. Sling remains intact, some cracking and other evidence of age present. A fantastic example.
