Manufactured circa 1893. Features nearly full coverage receiver engraving with very fine florets and stamped W. C. SCOTT & SON on both side plates. Also features double triggers, dark walnut checkered round knob stock with horn butt plate along with matching splinter forearm. Damascus twist barrels wear the maker and address legends. The flats are stamped 12 along with numerous London proofs. The rib is matted and has a small brass front sight. CONDITION: Very good. The receiver retains flashes of case color but mostly gun metal toned with sharp engraving. The barrels show the Damascus pattern but softening and now a smooth grey patina finish. Bores are bright and lock up is tight. The stocks are excellent, beautiful grain, sharp checkering with minor handling. A very handsome early London high grade double.
