Three similarly constructed dolls, but each with a unique body style. (A) The smallest - 17" - is a shoulder head girl, incised on back of the shoulder "Germany" and "Mabel." She has brown inset eyes and open mouth with four upper teeth, all mounted to a German leather-covered body with a gusset joint at the knee and hip, having straight leather arms with bisque forearms. Her eyes do not sleep and she wears mainly older clothes and an auburn mohair wig. (B) A 20" doll dressed in long baby-type clothing, a girl with open mouth and teeth, also with stationary brown eyes. She is incised on the back of the shoulder with a horseshoe logo, also reading "3K Made in Germany," assumed to be made by Heubach Koppelsdorf. Unlike the other, she has an all cloth body with leather forearms. The lower legs have sewn on silk stockings with a cloth leather-covered boot. (C) The largest of the three - 23" - is a 1920s German-made doll, but made for an American designer. She is incised on the back of the shoulder "K&K." She has a chubby body made of cloth, with thick composition lower arms and legs. She has brown glass sleep eyes, an open mouth with two center teeth and separately molded tongue. She wears a thick mohair wig with bangs, an original organdy knee-length dress underneath and a heavy fur winter coat and matching hat, with sheepskin trim on the sleeves, neck and the rim of the hat. She appears to be in very good condition. CONDITION: Overall good and as described.
