This is a commercial second model with a 7" barrel and standard Russian features to include the sash hook, lanyard ring, very scarce blue finish, case color hammer and trigger guard, two piece walnut grips and a pinned front sight. Matching assembly number 480 on back of cylinder, barrel and latch. There is a matching serial number stamped into the right grip panel. Smith & Wesson one line Russian legend on rib. The butt has the SH in diamond stamp indicating it was made for the famed firm of Schuyler, Hartley and Graham. Based in New York, they were the largest wholesaler of firearms in the United States by 1860. Accompanied by factory letter confirming configuration as well as delivery to M.W. Robinson Co., New York, NY ordered by Schuyler, Hartley, and Graham of New York, NY. CONDITION: Fine. The frame retains at least 70% bright blue with blending balance, the barrel has bright blue in protected areas mixing to a smooth blue patina with sharp legends. The cylinder is patina with blue in the flutes. Traces of case color. Mirror bore with tight action. This is a very handsome blued Russian.
