This is a standard US issue Colt with high polish blue finish, fixed sights, two pieces smooth walnut grips with lanyard ring. The "RAC" inspector stamp for Rinaldo Carr is found on right grip panel, left side of frame and back of cylinder. The "JTT" stamp for John Thompson is also on left side of frame. There are two "K" stamps with a "P" under barrel. Butt is stamped "US Army Model 1901" but is also dated 1903 on left side of frame. The left side of frame has a "L.E.6" unit stamp, "1-4", and "6" also stamped on the back strap. The US flap holster is stamped "Rock Island Arsenal" and dated "1903". The holster has several unit stamps on flap, and is also stamped "MASS". CONDITION: Excellent. This is a fine example showing honest holster wear but still retaining at least 80% bright blue with no cancer. Legends are crisp as are the grips. The action is smooth and the bore is bright. The holster is excellent as well and matching year. Great rig.
