Originally manufactured in 1914 for use by the Austro-Hungarian Army in World War I, this pistol was later overhauled for World War II German police use after the 1938 Austrian Anschluss. Originally chambered in 9x23mm, this example was rechambered for the German service in their standard 9x19mm cartridge, as is denoted by a "08" stamp on the left side of the slide. German eagle over "N" and eagle over "L" police proofs also present on frame. Full reapplied blue finish and and checkered hardwood grips. Accompanied by a correct unmarked Austrian brown leather holster. CONDITION: Good. Pistol retains the majority of its fading arsenal blue with freckling throughout. Grips are worn with an added coat of finish. Fine bright bore, some cleaned abrasion present in the grooves. Good mechanics. Holster is very good.
