This petite Northampton County rifle includes its Flayderman listing from long ago where it was priced at $9,500 and titled "AS DELICATE, SLENDER, LIGHT WEIGHT & UNTOUCHED AS ANY KENTUCKY RIFLE WILL EVER BE FOUND". The light 6 - 1/2 lb. rifle features a two-stage barrel. Flat lockplate with vacant oval cartouche in center. Engraved brass furniture, including two-piece patchbox. Bucks County style flat sideplate with beveled edges and terminating in a ball at the tail. Silver oval inlay engraved with eagle above cheekpiece. Vacant oval-shaped brass inlay on wrist. Plain maple stock of slender Lehigh County form. Complete with its original wood ramrod. CONDITION: Untouched. Barrel and lock retain a heavy dark patina. Lock is in its original flintlock configuration and functions well. Brass retains a mostly dark patina. Stock retains a dry untouched surface. Scattered age cracks, minor losses and marks from use. A very attractive and honest Kentucky longrifle.
