Manufactured in 1837 by Johnson for US Government use in classic configuration throughout. Barrel is US proofed and inspector marked "NWP" near breech. Left flat of stock opposite lock is marked with "JH" and "HKH" inspector cartouches. CONDITION: Good, with iron assemblies turned a brown patina. Rammer assembly is a replacement. Stock is good with small crack near the belly of the stock in between barrel band and trigger guard, crack near lock tail, and dents on grip. Mechanically good, with half and full cock notches soft. Bore is dark.
