Manufactured in Czechoslovakia in the 1930s under contract for Persia, modern Iran, these are some of the nicest Mauser rifles built. This example remains in classic configuration with full lustrous blued finish, protected blade front sight, Farsi numbered tangent rear sight, and 2-piece gloss finished finger groove walnut stocks. Receiver ring features the Persian crest. Matching Farsi serial numbers observed on receiver, bolt, and stock. No visible import markings. Complete with numbers matching bayonet and scabbard. CONDITION: Excellent as unissued and full of dried grease. Nearly all of the factory blue is retained throughout with only very light high edge silvering around the muzzle. Screws display strong straw coloring, some fading present on a few. Stocks have only scattered impressions, rating slightly worse than the metal. Mirror bore, possibly unfired. Fine mechanics. Bayonet is very good with freckling on the scabbard.
