Production of the Model 1924 (Model 1933) Standard Modell began in 1933, for both irregular service in Germany and for export. This standard early example is marked on the receiver ring with the large "MAUSER" banner logo and commercial proofs, as well as on the side "STANDARD-MODELL". Standard blade front sight and tangent rear. Highly figured finger groove walnut stocks. Matching numbers observed on receiver, barrel, bolt body, stock, and bottom metal. Bolt internals do not match. No visible import marks. Complete with scarce leather sling. CONDITION: Very good. Rifle retains more than 90% of its reapplied, likely arsenal, blued finish with some freckling and other minor wear. Stocks have an added coat of finish and scattered light impressions. Frosted bore with defined rifling. Fine mechanics.
