Manufactured in 1950. One of the finest .22 sporting rifles made in the last century. This rifle features a rust blue finish, hooded ramp front sight, dove tail fitted Lyman peep sight with no stock cut out and a Winchester marked magazine. Receiver is not tapped for scope. Floor plate has "Sporting" legend. The dark walnut stock features the distinctive hand checkered three diamonds at base and is also checkered on the forearm and pistol grip which has a Winchester cap with a checkered steel butt plate and Super Grade type sling eyes along with black forearm tip. CONDITION: Excellent. Retains nearly all the blue finish with light handling and some wear to bolt knob. Stock is excellent with sharp checkering and minor impressions. Bore is bright.
