Lot consists of various early-mid 19th century snuff boxes that feature hand painted portraits or scenes from the period. There are also a few portrait miniatures including a hand colored half body portrait of a man marked "D.G. Johnston". Also included is a large 4" pendant with a miniature painting of a soldier of the Cheshire Yeomanry, circa 1800-1820. The reverse contains a lock of his hair in a tightly woven pattern. Lastly, there is a piece of Mexican-American War folk art which is in the shape of an eagle with "Mexico" at the base. The eagle is crafted from bone and lists various battles from the war. A nice offering of Federal Period ephemera. All exhibit various blemishes from handling and wear. CONDITION: Good.
