Tapered round barrel with bayonet lug mounted on top, toward muzzle. Convex lockplate marked "DUBLIN CASTLE" at tail and engraved with crown over "GR" in center. Cock a period replacement, likely from a Charleville. Brass furniture including an s-shaped sideplate. Pratt improvement ramrod ferrules. Cherry stock. CONDITION: Barrel retains a light brown patina, some corrosion at breech. Lock mostly brown with areas cleaned to see markings better. Lock is original flint and functions well. Brass retains a mustard patina. Stock shows scattered age cracks, minor losses and marks from use.
