Lot consists of: (A) Folk art whaling knife with a 9 - 3/4" blade and brass guard. Grip is of whale bone and inscribed "Beluga 1871" with line decorations. Blade with gray patina and wear to grip with a few hairlines. (B) Brass handled knife with crude clip point and crossguard. Brass grip scales held in place by 2 iron pins. Heavy gray patina throughout. (C) Whaling themed fork with whale, ship, and harpoon decorations. Sturdy construction with wear. (D) Sailor's knife with built in Marlin spike. Heavy gray patina with edge wear. Housed in a leather scabbard. (E) Scrimshawed whale tooth with scenes that depict a sailor's voyage and travels. Most likely from a Danish sailor and crafted in Japan. All pieces exhibit varying degrees of wear. CONDITION: Fair-good.
