British Long Land barrel with Tower proofs at breech in center, barrel marked "X REGT". Pattern 1742 banana lockplate marked "JORDAN / 1746" at tail and engraved with large crown over "GR" in center, deeply stamped crown over broad arrow ordnance proof below pan. Standard bras Long land furniture, wristplate marked "X / 46". American stock of cherry in the British style with relief apron carved around barrel tang. Later wood ramrod with brass tip. CONDITION: Barrel retains a brownish patina with pitting at breech, marking suspect. Lock shows a grey patina with some polishing, strong mechanism is in its original flintlock configuration, lock possibly a second lock. Brass retains a pleasing mustard patina, wrist escutcheon markings spurious. Stock has restoration to forend and spurious British marks behind trigger guard.
