This restocked Pattern 1742 Brown Bess Long Land Pattern's barrel is marked "60TH REGT" on top. Proofs are not authentic. The banana lock tail marked "TOWER" and partially visible "1742", partially visible crown and "GR" in center, proof below pan restamped. Standard brass Long Land Pattern furniture, wrist escutcheon engraved with faux "17/37" marking. Walnut stock with spurious British stamps. CONDITION: Regimental mark hard to read and appear to be correct, barrel pitted throughout. Lock appears to be in its original flintlock configuration and retains a dark brown patina. Brass retains a mostly dark patina. Stock shows scattered bruises and marks from use.
