Circa 1960 per serial number. Replacement bead front sight moved back approximately 1/8", with previous hole visible. Typical rollmarks for a Belgian manufactured gun, chambers marked with "**" and "**-" for Modified over Improved Cylinder. Matching numbers observed under barrels and on leg of Browning sliding forearm release. Round nose game forearm with Browning sliding release and two panels of point pattern checkering about the release. Boxlock action with light acanthus scroll engraving and beaded borderwork, with gold washed single mechanical trigger, non-automatic safety with "S" inlaid ahead of slide, "O" and "U" abutting for barrel selector. Walnut stock with long tang round knob configuration with sidepanels, two panels of point-and-wave pattern checkering about the wrist, and Browning branded brown waffle pad. In Browning case with small screwdriver and an invoice from Browning dated November 14th, 2017, indicating that the forearm was repaired and recheckered, gun reblued, stock replaced and fit, and additional engraving done, with some small parts (top lever spring, hammer pin, sear spring, etc) replaced. Exterior of case with a small added plaque that has previous owners information. CONDITION: Excellent as restored by the factory. Retains virtually all of the finishes across both wood and metal. Mechanically fine, ejectors strong and in time, bores excellent with just a touch of firing residue. Case fine.
