Made in Rhode Island and dated 1864 and so stamped on lock. Standard Civil War percussion infantry rifle with full length walnut stock, iron furniture, and hardware finished in-the-white with exception to lock, hammer and butt plate. The cartouche on left side of stock is visible but illegible. Standard leaf rear sight, three band, swivels and metal rod. Comes with bayonet. CONDITION: Good There is still some blue on hammer, dulling finish on lock with balance a brown patina with some pitting at breech. Stock is solid with numerous dings. Action is fine. Bore is well defined, still bright with some residue. Looks like an untouched attic find.
