Circa 1775. Three-stage round barrels with swamped muzzles, tops engraved "LONDON" towards breeches and left sides marked with London view and proof marks as well as "WB" maker's mark for William Brander. Convex lockplates marked "BRANDER" in centers. Engraved brass mounts on walnut stocks of Georgian form with relief shells carved around barrel tangs. CONDITIONS: Barrels retain much of old, possibly period, brown finish. Locks bright, in original flintlock configurations and function well. Brass retains a mustard patina. Stocks show some scattered marks from use and one pistol has a professionally repaired wrist break.
