Two-stage barrel with partially visible oval cartouche with the last letter being "S". Germanic lockplate with beveled edges and molding at the tail. Plain brass furniture mounted on a figured tiger maple stock. CONDITION: Barrel has been cleaned and shows a translucent brown finish and scattered pitting. Lock appears to be in its original flintlock configuration and functions properly, retains brown patina. Brass retains a dark mustard patina. Stock shows scattered marks from use and a thin piece professionally replaced and well blended from front of lock to nosecap on right side, Original ramrod. PROVANANCE: Previously sold at lot 3390 in the James D. Julia Fall 2014 auction. Ex. Dessrich Collection; Collection of John Montague.
