The double-edged blade is probably German and has a shallow short center fuller engraved on both sides "+ ANDRIA + FERARA +" as well as with a running wolf and double-bar cross with circle on top. The full basket hilt has thin bars and panels with pierced hearts and circles. Bun pommel cap with capstan. Retains an old red padded liner with hands stitched sections and a buff tan colored silk overlay. Wood grip with old paint and a rectangular back section decorated with cross-hatching. CONDITION: Blade shows some wear to cutting edges and some "battle nicks". Tip is slightly rounded. Hilt is tight to blade. Top loop of hilt on right side is absent. Hilt retains a dark brown patina, a couple breaks, and a couple old breaks repaired with pewter or lead. Liner shows wear, staining with losses and tears to silk overlay. Grip shows some wear and chipping to paint or old varnish surface.
