Built on the square butt N-frame, 5-screw, blue finish, case color hammer and trigger, smooth walnut grips and lanyard ring. Bottom of barrel is stamped UNITED STATES PROPERTY. Butt is stamped US ARMY MODEL 1917. Left side of frame has the GHS inspector stamp for Gilbert Stewart. Has matching numbers under barrel and on cylinder. The smooth walnut grips have matching pencil number on right panel. CONDITION: Excellent. Solid 95% plus blue remains with some muzzle wear, a light drag line, minor high edge cylinder wear, a couple of age spots on right side and some overall scattered light handling marks, mostly on right side of frame. Case colors are still strong. Action works correctly. Bore is bright. Cylinder shows nearly no face burn. Comes with a period US holster that shows some cracking and crazing.
