Randall Made Knives of Orlando, Florida has been in business since 1938, when its founder "Bo" Randall took his inspiration, from an original Scagel knife, to a full time profession. Randall Made Knives have since created a following and a reputation that is readily known and easily recognized around the world. This Model 12 Smithsonian bowie features a carbon steel blade of 3/8" stock with distinct "RANDALL MADE / ORLANDO, FLA." mark between Randall's signature scimitars. The blade exhibits excellent cross graining with scattered light blemishes. Thick lugged brass guard with a Westinghouse yellow micarta grip and thin black spacers. Large brass pommel with gilt loss. The knife appears to be a Randall kit knife (available from 1951 to 1974) assembled outside of the Randall shop. The knife is housed in its brown leather scabbard that features Randall marked snaps and is complete with its sharpening stone. The reverse is marked "12 11" with Randall's football logo. Scabbard remains supple with light dings. CONDITION: Very good.
