Overall length: 13 – ½”. Barrel length: 7 – ¼”. Checkered wrist and silver buttcap inlay. Round .50 caliber barrel. Top of percussion box lock action marked “John Krider Philadelphia”. Krider, 1826-1876, was one of Philadelphia’s best known gunsmiths whose shop was located at 2nd and Walnut, later becoming the Old Bookbinders Restaurant. Very fine condition.
