Lot consists of: (A) AN6519-1 "Mae West" life vest dated "MAR 31 1945". CO2 canisters in place. All straps present. Two packets of shark chaser attached. Rubber tubes in place and supple. Vest is tarnished but supple. CONDITION: Good. (B) M1926 inflatable flotation belt used as a life preserver by assault troops during amphibious actions and beach landings. This particular belt is dated "May 8 1943" and was manufactured by Swimaster Corporation. The date, contract number, and maker are ink stamped on the canvas. The metal buckle shows a USN marking. The instructions are stamped on the canvas, close to the CO2 slots. The belt measures approximately 55" and remains supple throughout. CONDITION: Very good.
