Overall length: 48”. Barrel length: 32”. Half stock percussion rifle with full octagon .45 caliber barrel marked “Golcher Philada, Henry Parker Warranted” lock. Oval cap box in stock. Checkered wrist. The Golcher gunsmithing family are well known for the manufacture and sale of gun locks, but rifles which were made by James Golcher are nearly impossibly to locate. Figured walnut buttstock with original finish. Original browned finish on barrel. Extremely crisp edges on all parts. Very scarce maker marked piece. Excellent condition.
