Overall length: 47 – ½”. Barrel length: 31”. E. Anschutz half stock target rifle with Schutzen-style trigger guard and buttplate. Full octagon signed barrel and lock. Checkered wrist and carved entrance for ramrod. Barrel equipped with target sights and turned for a bullet starter. Edward Anschutz, circa 1865-1885, is noted for his exceptional quality target rifles and shotguns. Highly figured buttstock with German silver mountings. Carved ribbed nose-end on forearm. Original finish. Excellent condition.
