The third model was manufactured between 1883 and 1886. It has a six shot fluted cylinder. On this variation the top strap has been added. One line address and patent dates on the top of the barrel, "MERWIN HULBERT& CO. NEW YORK, U.S.A. PAT. JAN. 24 APR. 21. DEC. 15. 74 AUG. 3. 75 JULY 7. 76 APR. 17. 77 PATS MAR. 6. 77". On the left side of the barrel, "THE HOPKINS & ALLEN MANUFACURINGCO.NORWICH, CONN. U.S.A.". Caliber designation on the left side of the frame, "CALIBRE / WINCHESTER / 1873". It has an integrated half moon front sight and a V notch rear sight. Niter blue trigger. Case color trigger guard and hammer. Two piece checkered hard rubber grips. It has a factory lanyard loop at the bottom of the grip. CONDITION: This gun retains the vast majority of the original factory applied nickel finish. The case color has faded. The checkering on the grips is sharp and crisp. The bore has some frosting in the lands and grooves. The action indexes fine and locks up tight.
