These high quality reproductions of the classic Parker side by side were manufactured in Japan in the 1980s under the direction of Winchester. This example is a factory two barrel set with 26" and 28" barrels. Both sets of barrels are finished in blue with concave matted ribs and brass bead sights. Both are marked for "Q1" and "Q2" chokes. Standard "WP" and "OVERLOAD / PARKER REPRODUTION / PROOVED" proofs on barrel flats. Case colored action with characteristic scroll engraving, a pointer dog vignette engraved on each side along with a trio of game birds on the underside. Double triggers. Automatic safety. Geometric point pattern checkered splinter forend with case hardened Deely release and tip. English gripped stock of nice figure with teardrop side panels, checkered wrist, blank silver toe line plate, and checkered butt. Gun is housed in a correct leather wrapped case with Parker Reproduction label. CONDITION: Very good. 26" barrels have some faint silvering at the muzzles. 28" barrels also have some thinning towards the muzzles and scattered marks. Case colors have started to fade. Stocks have a few scattered marks. Bright bores. Fine mechanics. Case is very good. From the collection of noted African hunter and collector Richard Cousins
