While Bill Scagel is most recognized for his camp and hunting knives, he also crafted various pieces of cutlery more suitable for a kitchen setting. This utility style knife features a subtle clip point blade. Reverse cheek is crisply marked with Bill's signature kris stamp. The blade exhibits a pleasing gray patina with scattered blemishes and evidence of an older cleaning. The knife features two piece ivory scales retained by two aluminum pins on each side. The scales remain intact with scratches, a few hairlines, and light patina. Handling wear throughout. CONDITION: Good. This knife was obtained at Scagel's property by John Gordon Breland, who was a policeman in Muskegon, Michigan. Upon his retirement, he did odd carpentry jobs, one of which was expanding Scagel's home or workshop. Breland was a lifelong hunter and selected these items from what Scagel had on hand in his shop.
