This gun dates to 1969. The American Bank Note scroll engraving appears to be Class B coverage. This writer could find no engraver signature but believes it is factory as the matching serial number is stamped inside both guard and strap as well as on cylinder. This is the usual process for factory engraved guns as they were used for reassembly after it was engraved and finished. The factory made an error on the serial number as it is stamped AS instead of SA and this mistake was repeated on interior numbers. The back of cylinder has the Pony stamp. Barrel has single line Colt legend as well as caliber legend on left side. Finish is complete nickel and now sports genuine stag grips, no medallions or numbers. CONDITION: Excellent. Cylinder shows no signs of any face burn and gun appears unfired in near new condition except for minute handling marks and a ghost drag line. The action indexes and locks up tight. Bore is bright.
